What motivated you to choose your major?

I choose my carrier because what I wanted to study was not available here, and this carrier is the most similar to what I want, for then make a master in what I really want. Besides that, like the carrier was not available in Chile, I search universities with the most similar carrier and I found the ones that most fit, for then apply to those Universities.

 What were your expectations about college before you started?

I thought that College will be very hard, because almost all told me that, also my carrier have a lot of math, and I am very bad at it. Besides that, I thought that will be very fun, make a lot of friends and enjoy the time because I will study something that I like.

Has your experience so far lived up to your expectations?

University is a bit hard, I am still bad in math, but I did approve them so far, is not impossible if you make your effort. Some courses are very boring and others as I learn by my own before college for me are very easy but I like them even with math, they are hard but I enjoy them.  I haven’t make to much friends but that is ok for me, because I am also very busy with studies. I even have advances courses that I should take other semester but I am taking them anyway. I also join to a club, and I went to a competition representing my Universality, I will also do it this month.

What advice would you give to someone who is about to apply to college and is deciding their major?

Some people might choose his carrier because they just want to win money, other they just like it, like me. I strongly advise you to choose something that you like because if you study something that you don’t enjoy, and is hard, you will have lots of difficulties with the major. Then when you have to work, you won’t work in something that you like and is not a good idea. But if you study something that you love, then working in something that you enjoy will not be work at all.

The other important factor is choosing the University to apply, I know everybody wants to apply to the best university but that is not always possible, It depends on you, if you are accepted and you can go is great, others might want have it close to where they leave. But in the end it don’t matter to much, is most important what you study-.
